NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of the Wayne Central School District will hold a public hearing on the proposed transfer of funds from the District’s Employees’ Retirement System Reserve Fund and Teachers’ Retirement System Reserve Fund to the District’s Capital Reserve Fund.

The public hearing will be held on October 29, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in the District Office, for the purpose of receiving public comment regarding the proposed transfer of:

• $3,250,000 from the District’s Employees’ Retirement System (ERS) Reserve Fund to the District’s Capital Reserve Fund; and
• $250,000 from the District’s Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) Reserve Fund to the District’s Capital Reserve Fund;
• for a total transfer of $3,500,000 to the Capital Reserve Fund.

The proposed transfers are pursuant to General Municipal Law § 6-r and are intended to provide funding for future capital improvements and capital expenditures of the District in accordance with the purposes of the Capital Reserve Fund established pursuant to Education Law § 3651.

The Board of Education will consider adoption of a resolution authorizing the proposed transfers at the regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting held immediately following the public hearing.
