Communication Outline
Communication Outline
Welcome to the Communication Outline page. Effective communication is essential to building strong partnerships between our schools, families, staff, and community. This page provides an overview of the communication channels we use to share important information, along with guidance on who to contact for questions, concerns, or assistance. Our goal is to ensure you have the information and resources you need to stay informed and connected.
Who to Contact
When questions or concerns arise, following the appropriate chain of communication helps ensure they are addressed promptly and effectively. In most cases, the best place to start is with the staff member closest to the situation. If your concern is not resolved, please continue through the contact process outlined under each category.
This process helps direct questions to the appropriate staff member and allows concerns to be addressed at the appropriate level.

-
District Newsletters
Wayne Central School District publishes four newsletters each year to keep families and community members informed about district news, important dates, and upcoming events. Each newsletter is mailed directly to district residents and is also available below.
Back-to-School Newsletter
Published in late summer, the Back-to-School Newsletter provides families with important information to help prepare for the upcoming school year. It includes school and district contact information, transportation details, food service information, parent pick-up and drop-off procedures, required annual notices, opt-out forms for photographs and Potassium Iodide (KI), and other helpful resources.
Winter Newsletter
Published during the winter, the Winter Newsletter highlights events, achievements, and activities that have taken place throughout the school year, celebrating the accomplishments of our students, staff, and schools.
Budget Newsletter
Mailed in early May, the Budget Newsletter provides residents with the information needed to make an informed decision during the annual Budget Vote and Board of Education Election. It includes details about the proposed school budget and introduces the candidates seeking election to the Board of Education.
July Newsletter
Published each July, the July Newsletter celebrates the graduating senior class and recaps the district's commencement ceremony while highlighting other end-of-year accomplishments and milestones.
The district's newsletters are available below.

Facebook
Wayne Central School District uses Facebook to share positive news and celebrate the accomplishments of our students, staff, schools, and district. Follow us to stay connected with highlights from school events, student achievements, athletic accomplishments, classroom activities, and other stories that showcase our school community.
While important district information, such as school closings or emergency notifications, may also be shared on Facebook, families and staff should rely on ParentSquare and the district website for timely and official communications, as social media posts may not appear in everyone's feed due to platform algorithms.
